Billie & Nancy recently hosted a Trudy Viklund clinic in Laidlaw,
BC...seems like typical spring weather with Billie trying to watch & hide from
the wind & rain at the same time!
|
Billie is now happy in Chilliwack, BC where she joined Nancy & Ian, & her
new best buddy Raleigh (a Shilo
Shepherd)...she's having a great time going herding & all sorts of other
wonderful things with Nancy & Raleigh! Billie is now working sheep and
going to trials...and in-between manages to keep the whole gang laughing at her antics! |

Updates:
September 2007 - At just over a year old
Billie, along with her wonderful handler Nancy, finished the requirements for
her AHBA HRDIs herding title! ...not only that, Billie also got a leg on her HTDIs as well!
HUGE congratulations to this great pair!
September 2006 update ~ Growing rapidly….both mentally
and physically, had her on sheep in the round pen yesterday – tons of natural
instinct – no surprise there, (I got in trouble – mis-directed her when she was
doing the right thing – I sent her the wrong way – she looked at me like I was
an idiot, but did what she was told and when things went arye she gave me the I
told you so look), however, …..and best of all! she stops when asked Yippeeee!
July 2006 update ~ Nancy is such a cool "Mom"...for Billie's 3 month birthday,
Nancy and Lynn Leach (Downriver Farms) let
Billie have a little fun with Lynn's sheep...
Nancy said: "just a quick note to let you know we put Billie
on Sheep (lambs) on Saturday for the first time..Lynn was great – she had a big
old ewe in her arms for Billie to check out – I ran around like a goober
tickling sheep and Billie chased me. It was all good. Then this afternoon just
as the clinic was shutting down, Billie, me and Lizie (Lynn’s ACD) and a bunch
of lambs had some fun…then Lizie left and I pulled a lamb into the middle of the
round pen by it’s back leg a couple of times and sure enough Little Miss Bill
came into give me hand just as Lynn said she would, after that I sure didn’t
need to tickle sheep anymore – she was off and running – a few got away, she
went got them brought them back and then away she went again! She had a
blast…and it’s all on video! (Gotta work on that recall!)"
August 2006 - "... I had her in her x-pen near Lynn’s house
while Lynn and I were working Raleigh for the first time in her big field with
all her sheep….just as we are finishing up here comes the little red BEAST
streaking across the field as fast as her legs could go, ears pinned
back…totally determined to get to us – she was trying to cram her body through
the 4 x 4 page wire! She must have climbed out of that X Pen like a monkey –
it’s the same one I use for the big guy"

What do you mean "no couch"? But I'm sooooooo
comfortable & it needed decorating some more!

| "I took these photos tonight
after both dogs had a very long, fun and patient day at the Hospital with me,
they are of course everybody's favorite. Raleigh lay on the floor in front of
Mum's chair and Billie climbed all over him, Raleigh gumming her to death - they
were great, both playing quite quietly on the floor." |
 |
 |
"Mum of course loved it. Later when
we went out for a ride, Billie as usual rode on Mum's lap on the chair, but she
is almost getting to big for Mum to hang on to."
Billie & Raleigh, as you can see, are best
friends! |

Billie & Raleigh, playing a
great tug-o-war, despite the huge difference in their size, little Billie
doesn't quit easily! :-) And Raleigh, well he's just a gentle giant, what
a wonderful playmate he is for this little minx! |
