Our wonderfully Dually left this earth on a beautiful
summer evening, just as the sun started to set over the west side of this
valley he loved. We could hear the cattle lowing in the pasture, the
birds singing in the trees. As I held Dually in my arms and told him
how much I loved him and how much joy he'd brought into our lives we let him
slip away to join our other Aussie Angels and their guardians...I told
Dually "Go find Joe, they're all there waiting for you darling". As he
slipped out of this world, one lone coyote gave one howl as if to say
goodbye to an old friend he'd sung with on many an evening.
Dually is a proven producer of titled working &
conformation Champion Aussies and he was one of the foundation sires of
Mikatura Aussies as we know it today. He was the first dog I ever
trialed and he made it seem so easy, something I later realized was not
true, Dually was just a really good dog, easy to work with, easy to live
with, and easy to love.
Goodbye my sweet man, your memory will always live on in the "kids" and
"grandkids" you've left with us who will try and follow your wonderful
footsteps.

trialing...these standings are compiled from scores for dogs all over the

Christmas 2006 brought a buddy for Dually to hang out
with...a friend's Golden, Nugget, came for a few days and she and Dually had
a ball!

As mentioned above, in July 2004 Dually finished his ASCA
started ducks title with a 4th place win...he
completed the second leg of his started cattle title with a 2nd place win and
a 1st place
win (I forgot to move him up to open!). Dually also completed one leg of his Open Cattle title with a
3rd place win!
Thank you to Judges Dana Mackenzie &
Robert Blount!
I worked him this year,
my first time in a trial arena, and he is awesome to work, level headed and
easy to guide, his natural ability shines in a trial arena.
I knew from working with him at
home that Dually is a great dog to have around
and to work with, he's quiet,
well mannered and shows lots of potential working stock. I'm glad Foss
was really busy and needed my help or I'd probably never have taken Dually
in the ring...and I'd have missed how much fun it was!
In July 2003
not only did our beautiful boy
finish his STDs he also got one leg each on his ducks and cattle
titles...not bad for a fella who was only entered in four classes and who'd
never worked ducks before! DANG we should have put him in more! :-) Oh well, next year!
Thanks to our Judges Marti Parrish & Roy Sage.

Keep'em cornered Duals!
Dually has sired pups, with our Molly, who are titled in the trial arena and are doing very well
in obedience, agility, tracking and the conformation ring. Watching Dually's offspring work
is a pleasure, he has passed his wonderful
working ability and temperament on to his get. Dually & Molly's
daughter Skye was the #19 Advanced Trial Dog (Cattle) and #6 Open
Trial Dog (Sheep) for the June 2003-May 2004 Australian Shepherd Club of
America year...these standings are compiled from scores for dogs all over
the world!
Dually has also sired a litter of pups out of our girl SallyRose...click
