I lost a piece of my heart today I woke up to find you were gone. I lost a piece of my heart today, Seems like you couldn't stay here for long.
Eleven years and nine short months, You brightened all of my days. Gave me loving & laughter & beautiful pups, The whole ranch was under your gaze.
I lost a piece of my heart today, My beautiful Molly is gone.
Miss Molly, you were a wonderful girl, always ready to make us all laugh with your antics. You loved to work livestock but far preferred putting on a show for anyone who was watching and might clap or cheer. And never once did you ever fail to make me laugh when I was sad, your heart just seemed to know what was going on in my head. Rest easy sweet Mollywogs, I miss your spinny little body greeting me every time we met.
Call Name: Molly, Molly-dolly, and my fav...Mollywogs! Molly was a proven producer of titled working & conformation Champion Aussies!
The many faces of Miss Molly...
Molly is our beautiful black tri lady who was our foundation bitch. Her herding instincts are extremely strong, proven by her willingness & ability with our sheep, the pigs when they escape and anything else that happens to need putting away! As a youngster she helped move over 100 cow/calf pairs with minimal (and I do mean minimal!) training as well as putting 6 of the neighbours bulls back in their summer pasture...a two mile drive with Foss & Jeni in the truck as backup! Molly responds well to commands & when given a command she has not learned she tends to look back as if to ask "what the devil was that?" or "What do you mean "no bark", there's coyotes singin' in them thar hills!!" as seen in the photo below of Dani & Molly.
Molly had a GREAT weekend at our 2003 trials! She finished her STDc, got one leg on her ducks and decided sheep really are stupid critters. Molly also received the High Combined Started prize for the high combined scores of the weekend (that's two years in a row she's been High Combined!). Needless to say we are very proud of our little lady. Oh and she should have got a prize for clown of the weekend...every time she was in the arena working, she entertained the crowd with her little happy dance and spin! This little lady just loves to work and has passed that wonderful instinct on to her pups...several of whom she competes against in our yearly trials and who are titled in the trial arena and are doing very well in obedience, agility, tracking and the conformation ring. Watching Molly's "babies" work is a pleasure, she has passed her wonderful working ability and happy temperament on to her get!!
