We have puppies!
When we have pups
available we make sure the information is updated regularly on our "Available

Our dream, here at Mikatura, is to
help our puppy buyers follow their dreams...best wishes to all of you and thank you for
helping us fulfill our dream of making people happy by helping them have a great Aussie to
share their lives. We wish all of you the very happiest of lives and hope to hear
from you all regularly...dream big and may all your dreams come true!
Interested puppy buyers, please note: Although we will
always keep in mind the colour preference of our puppy buyers we DO NOT
place our pups in homes based solely on colour choice. We evaluate the
pups from day 1 and puppies are placed based on a wide variety of things
including temperament, natural instinct, and suitability. If you are
interested in a puppy from an upcoming litter we recommend you complete our
questionnaire and speak with us (via phone, e-mail or in person) after that.
When we have a litter planned we will notify you and we request a deposit
from people interested in a pup. A deposit ensures ONLY that you will
be considered as a prospective home and we reserve the right to choose not
to place a puppy in a prospective home at any time or for any reason.
Our first consideration is the safety and well-being of our puppies, from
the day they are conceived until the day (hopefully long in the future) when
they pass on.
Please note, we DO NOT breed so called "minis" and ask that you read the
following regarding 'mini' Aussies...
Recently there has been a rise in the movement to
breed so called “miniature”, and sadly, even a “toy” version of the Australian
Shepherd.
Neither of these are recognized by any of the
official Australian Shepherd clubs/organizations. The Australian Shepherd
Club of America (ASCA), the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), the American
Kennel Club (AKC), nor the United States Australian Shepherd Association,
Inc. (USASA), recognize nor register these dogs. The dogs are only
recognized by their own breed clubs which have been formed since they
were denied recognition by the above clubs. They are NOT a 'variety'
of the true Australian Shepherd, they are a totally separate breed.
We do not breed "mini's", will not allow our males to be
used to breed to a "mini" and will not recommend a breeder to you because
we personally do not support the purposeful breeding of "miniature” or
“toy” dogs that are then passed off as Australian Shepherds.
We breed our Aussies to the ASCA and CKC
recognized standards of excellence. These clubs require all of their
members to abide by their rules and regulations and their Code of Ethics,
and to be ever vigilant in the preservation and protection of the true
Australian Shepherd.

my life, should your life be in danger.
And, my friend, when I am
very old, and I no longer enjoy good health, hearing and good sight, do not make heroic efforts to keep me going.
I am not having fun.
