Sioux lives in Idaho with Randy & Patti...watch for him in the trial arena in
the future!
Sioux originally lived in Oregon where he was a true working dog on a ranch full
of Brahma bucking bulls and cattle which he worked. Unfortunately the
cattle had to be sold and Sioux's mater made the hard decision that Sioux needed
a home where he'd be able to work. Many thanks to our friends Randy &
Patti for providing the perfect home for this handsome young dog!
In September '08, Ty sent this note..."Sorry I haven't been in contact sooner.
Generally I don't get the chance to sit at my desk until about 11 o'clock at
night. I just wanted to let you know how much we love Sioux. He has jumped
in a become such a part of the family it seems like he has always been around.
He is so smart and so kind. We have just loved having him around. Plenty of good
stories about him. He is already working cows. I have tried to go slow with him,
but he is such a natural it has been hard not to use him at such a young age. My
biggest concern is always his safety, as well as the safety of the cattle, but
he works so smart and safely we are training on the go. I need to take a camera
out with me. I have to have the dogs hold the cows off of feed while I fill
grain feeders and he had that figured out after the third trip. He just goes out
to the perimeter and sits and stares. He has figured out the difference between
sorting in the pen and when we need to push to load them. He has just the right
amount of bite to get 'em moving, but not to bite for bites sake.

Sioux at 6 months of age...

and already a handy ranch dog!

Anyway, I
could go on and on, but I just wanted to say thanks again and let you know how
well he is doing. You guys should be very proud of the dogs use raise, as I have
been around dogs my whole life and have never seen a better one than the one I
purchased from you. Thanks. Ty"
